NEW THINGS ARE COMING!

There are some changes that are going to be happening soon.

Stampin’ Up! is saying goodbye to cling stamps (red rubber) and Stampin’ Write markers.  The Stampin' Write markers have been added to the Last Chance List and are available "while supplies last".  Be sure to grab yours before they disappear.

 

Beginning in November our stamps and dies will come in plastic envelopes.  No more stamp cases.  AND the envelopes for dies will match the envelopes for stamp sets!  This means easier storage and less clutter.  change means hello to sleeker packaging, easier storage, and less clutter in our craft rooms.

WHY THE CHANGES? 

• Cling stamps are retiring  because raw materials are harder to source, and Stampin’ Up! is moving forward and leaving the red rubber behind.
• Stampin’ Write markers are going away because their main use was on cling stamps (which are going away), so the markers are also going to be phased out. 
• 
  

EXCITING NEW THINGS!

• Sleek, slim packaging for photopolymer stamps and dies.
• Coordinated sizes for ease in storing bundles together.
• Printed artwork on die packaging is beautiful and means no more guessing which set is which.

FUN FOLD FRENZY FILLS FAST!

Fun Fold classes are new to the RR this year, and they fill quickly.  At class we will use one fun fold card pattern and make four cards with the same pattern, but different stamp sets, DSPs, etc....

Cost of the class is $20 and is payable with your registration.  Class is August 25th from 6-8 p.m.

As of today the morning class is full, but there are a few spots left in the evening class.

CELEBRATORY SIPS SWAP CARD!

Recently I participated in a Rubber Room Rambler team swap. I love all the creative ideas shared when swapping, and was excited to share my card.

I used products from the Celebratory Sips Suite. The drinks were stamped, then I covered them with postal tape to make them shiny like a glass. Then I die cut the glass with the coordinating dies and used the Glass and Gardens Embossing Folder to add even more texture to the glasses. The Celebratory Sips 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper added lots of color. I also shared this really fun fold, which is one of my favorites.

FUN CHARMING DAY CLASS CARDS!

One of my favorite ways to treat myself is to take a class from another demonstrator, and before I left for vacation I got to do a class offered by Tracey Gillies. Tracey is part of our Rubber Room Rambler team, and I love her creations.

These are the five cards she designed and offered as her Charming Day Class.

We used the Charming Day Bundle, some Designer Series Paper from the Floral Charm Suite Collection and some Charming Shimmer Faceted Gems, as well as a little Gold Striped 3/8" ribbon.

RUBBER ROOM AUGUST CLASS!

The RR August class will be a Halloween class. I believe that by the time September rolls around, some of the Halloween items may be unavailable, so I am going to go ahead and do Halloween in August.

This is a great opportunity for those of you who "don't do Halloween" to make a few cards for neighbors, grand kids, etc... AND to make a few treats too.

As always, the RR monthly class can be customized to fit your needs. You pick whether you attend the class from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. or from 6:00-8:00 p.m. You can also pick a regular class or a "boosted class".

During class we will be using the Spooky Halloween Suite and Fright Night Bundle to make three cards. You will also make one treat box from the Sweet and Spooky Kit. If you would like to "boost" your class and make 6 cards (2 each of all 3 designs) and 2 treat boxes, you can stamp and assemble your first cards and boxes during class, and stamp and prep your second cards and boxes, assembling them at home at your leisure. Cost for a "boosted class" is $23.

The class fee is payable with your RSVP.

ADVENTURE AWAITS!

This is another card I designer using the RRR Mystery Card Mania Zoom dimensions.

There was no stamping at all with this card, or die cutting. I simply used the Adventure Awaits DSP and Sticker Sheet.

This card pattern is a great way to use up some of that Designer Series Paper, Sticker Sheets and/or Ephemera Packs that we are hoarding.
