As I am sure most of you know, Stampin' Up! is featuring a brand new "While Supplies Last" suite called Christmastime Is Here, and I LOVE it so much I have designed an entire class around it! I have been having tremendous fun playing with all the items in the suite and participating in swaps with it, and this is a card I shared at our Demo Diva night in October. I wanted to share this really cool technique with you.
This is a close up of the Christmas Rose.
To make this card, I used my Versamark Stamp Pad and inked the Christmas Rose outline stamp and stamped it onto Crumb Cake Card Stock. Then I sprinkled Whisper White Embossing Powder over top of the inked and stamped image and heated it with my Heat Gun.
I used a Light Cherry Cobbler Blend to color the berries. Then I took some White Craft Ink Refill and put a few drops on a clear block. I used my Aquapainter to pick up the Craft Ink and color the rose with it. This technique gives the rose a white-wash look, that is very elegant.
I used the Roses Die framelits to trim the stamped and colored image. Then I mounted it on a piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock that was embossed with the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder, the adhered it to the Specialty Designer Series Paper and then onto the Mossy Meadow Card Base.
Here are all the items you need to recreate this card:
